2024 Summer Classes
​
Summer sessions at Tiger Workshops are designed so that students may travel for part of the season, then return and still attend writing classes.
​
To that end, Mr. G provides two types of summer instruction:
​
- Once-a-week classes on Sundays (in two sets)
- One-week intensive-writing classes (in 8 blocks)

Sunday Classes
​
Two sets of Sunday classes are offered:
- Six days: June 23rd - Aug. 4th (skipping June 6th)
- Three days: Aug. 18, 25, Sept. 1
​
Six-Day Set: Students will read a book, learn vocabulary, and write three compositions: a literary analysis essay, a research simulation task essay, and a narrative.

A $50 non-refundable deposit (applied toward tuition) is required to secure a spot for your child.
Three-Day Set: Writing only--students will practice writing three compositions: a literary analysis essay, a research simulation task essay, and a narrative.

A non-refundable $50 deposit (credited toward tuition) is required to secure a spot for your child.

IMPORTANT: There are no make-up days for summer classes, so only sign up for classes your student can attend. No refunds or credits will be given for missed summer classes.

One-Week Intensive Writing Classes
Eight sets of one-week intensive-writing classes will be taught over the summer. They will be four-classes long (four consecutive days), each 1.5 hours in length.
The entire focus will be on writing only. With the exception of the "Three Compositions" classes, each one-week class will cover one type of writing.
In all intensive-writing classes, students will read and study sample compositions and receive detailed feedback from Mr. G. They will also be asked to revise and improve their compositions as necessary. (See below for the composition types covered.)
THE NARRATIVE (June 17, 18, 19, 20)

The "Three Compositions" classes will give students practice in responding to each of the three types of prompts found on state tests: the narrative, the literary analysis essay, and the research simulation task essay.

The time slots by grade level for all 4-day intensive writing classes are:
